Up-Link

atrexx enables the up-link of your radio channels to broadcast satellites. The audio signal (mono or stereo) is multiplexed with other audio & video content into a MPEG-2 stream. The modulated DVB signal is then up-linked from the teleport to the transponder of one or more satellites, including Eutelsat Hotbird. The contribution of the radio channel from the studio to the up-link teleport can be realized in one of the following cost-effective ways:


Direct to Home Satellite Service (DTH) with Internet Satellite Signal Contribution (IP-Audio)	Direct to Home Satellite Service (DTH) with SCPC/SCPC Satellite Signal Contribution	Direct to Home Satellite Service (DTH) with ISDN/Leased Line Signal Contribution
The audio signal is streamed via public Internet with Quality of Service (QoS) to the uplink site and then processed for broadcasting on a DTH Satellite.	The audio signal is contributed via a low cost Satellite on a Single Channel per Carrier (SCPC) to the uplink site and then processed for broadcasting on a DTH Satellite.	The audio signal is contributed via a classical terrestrial dedicated contribution line to the uplink site and then processed for broadcasting on a DTH Satellite.

Direct-to-Home

Normally, at the reception site no additional investment is required. In fact, many households in the target region already have pointed an antenna for DVB TV reception to one of the broadcast satellites used by atrexx In addition, their DVB set-top can receive digital radio channels in brilliant quality.

So it is rather a marketing communication task to inform the potential audience about the new radio channel they are now able to catch.
