Low Noise Block Down-Converter (LNB), Ku-Band
A Low Noise Block Converter (LNB) is an electronic device combining a Low Noise Amplifier (LNA) and a Block Down-Converter. The LNB is attached to the waveguide interface of the feed system and is part of the Outdoor Unit (ODU).
Ku-Band covers the frequency range from 10.9 to 17 GHz. This band is primarily used for commercial satellite communications, including broadcasting satellite television. Standard Ku-Band downlink frequencies - from satellite to earth - range from 10.95 to 12.75 GHz.
